Local joint law enforcement warrant round-up nets several drug-related arrests

Twelve suspects were arrested for various charges during a joint law enforcement warrant round-up and saturated patrols Monday, including one who was already held in the Vigo County Community Corrections Center.

Officers from the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office, West Terre Haute Police Department and the Seelyville Town Marshal conducted the operation, seizing drugs and issuing several traffic citations.

Arrested during the operation:
- Aaron Elkins – Elkins was arrested while housed at the Community Corrections Center. He had a warrant for dealing methamphetamine and now faces additional charges of possession of meth ---after police say approximately 18 grams of meth and more than $4,000 in cash were seized from his locker and vehicle, which were on Community Corrections' property.

  • Robert Kirkman – Dealing in methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine.
  • Haydren Troxal – Dealing in a schedule 1 controlled substance and possession of a schedule 1 controlled substance.
  • David Edwards – Possession of methamphetamine (warrant) and additional charges of possession of methamphetamine.
  • Dustin Bryant – Dealing in marijuana and possession of marijuana (warrant.) Not pictured.
  • Eric Bridgewater – Dealing in marijuana, possession of marijuana (warrant) and additional charges of possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.
  • Kali Phillips – Possession of Methamphetamine; Possession of Paraphernalia.
  • Matthew Newnum –Possession of methamphetamine.
  • Joseph Myers – Invasion of privacy (warrant) and criminal conversion (warrant.)
  • Terri Wallisa – Criminal trespass (warrant) and additional charges of resisting law enforcement and possession of paraphernalia.
  • Virginia Torres – Criminal conversion (warrant.)
  • Justin Roacho – Criminal conversion (warrant.)



During joint the operation, police also seized approximately 39 grams of meth, 8 grams of marijuana and one handgun. They issued eight traffic citations, as well.
