Single-vehicle crash kills man in Vigo County

A Terre Haute man is dead after police say he crashed his SUV in southern Vigo County Wednesday afternoon.


Noaman Botros, 72, was transported to a nearby hospital and died a short time later. He was a local physician.


Emergency crews responded to SR 641 just before 1 p.m. 


Vigo County Sheriff John Plasse said Botros had left the roadway for unknown reasons. He then struck a concrete bridge support near Woodsmall Road.
