2 older adults dead in apparent murder - suicide south of Terre Haute

A man and woman --  both senior citizens --  were found dead at a residence south of Terre Haute Saturday morning. The Vigo County Sheriff's Office death investigation revealed the deaths were due to an apparent murder-suicide. 

Sheriff John Plasse identified the victims as Bernard Myles, 69, and Onalee Myles, 73.

The investigation began when emergency crews were called to1859 Oakridge Parkway North around 9:30 a.m. The subdivision is located near the federal prison in southern Vigo County.

Additional information, including manner of death, is unavailable at this time, as the investigation is ongoing. Meanwhile, officials say an autopsy is scheduled this week. 

Honey Creek Fire Department,  Indiana State Police,  Vigo County Coroner’s Office  assisted VCSO personnel at the scene.
