Found excessive buildup of carbon on baking pans and bread pans. Opened packages of pasta salad & potato salad in deli not marked with date of consumption. In bakery walk-in cooler, found box of various foods with accumulated debris. Found rotted/wilted lettuce in deli at sandwich station. 

Country Mart,  4802 US Hwy 150 W. - (2 Critical, 4 Non-Critical) Chubs of deli meat and cheese not marked with date of consumption. Found chub of cheese molded. 

Third St. Petro, 501 S. 3rd St. (2 Critical, 2 Non-Critical) Soda nozzles found with built up black debris. Observed mouse droppings in cabinets under drink station. 

Speedway, 6587 S. US Hwy 41  (1 Critical, 1 Non-Critical) 
Items on roller grill found at 116-120 degrees. Should be at least 135 degrees or above.

Subway, 423 W. National Ave. (1 Critical, 1 Non-Critical)
Found tub on hand wash sink in dish area.

Zimmarss , 1500 Locust St. (1 Critical, 1Non-Critical) Several spoiled  food items found in cooler.

Terre Haute man sentenced in federal drug trafficking case

By Lucy Perry  Indiana Central News A Terre Haute man was sentenced to more than 15 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and possession of a firearm in a drug trafficking case.  Matthew Beeler, 32,was sentenced for his part in the recent drug trafficking case, according to a press release Thursday from United States Department of Justice -Southern District of Indiana. He will be on probation for five years following his sentence of    183 months in prison.  In November 2020, emergency crews responded to a report of a possible heroin overdose involving several people at a Terre Haute residence. While responding, Terre Haute Police Department officers located drugs, guns and various other items associated with trafficking throughout the home.   Beeler and another individual were reportedly found unresponsive at the scene. Police say man was angry with son when he fired shots at his home

By Lucy Perry Indiana Central News A Terre Haute man was taken into custody after police say he fired multiple shots into a relative's home and vehicle early Sunday morning. John Lyman Jr., 49, was booked into the Vigo County Jail a short time later. He is charged with charged with: burglary while armed with a deadly weapon; burglary of a dwelling; criminal recklessness; and intimidation using a deadly weapon. Terre Haute Police Department officers were dispatched to the residence located in the area of Blakely and Wabash Avenues on a call for shots fired, just before 6 a.m. The suspect reportedly had fled the scene prior to police arrival and was located later on. According to the report, officers allege the victim’s father had fired multiple rounds into the victim’s home. They say shots were fired through an entry door and a bedroom window of the residence. Well-being check ends deadly in Vigo County after officer fires once at resident allegedly pointing rifle

Lucy Perry photos  By Lucy Perry Indiana Central News A reportedly armed and suicidal man was killed by an officer conducting a well-being check at his southern Vigo County residence late Wednesday afternoon. James Dockery, 45, of Terre Haute, was pronounced dead at the scene. He suffered from a gunshot wound. According to Sgt. Matt Ames, of the Indiana State Police, an off-duty Vigo County Sheriff's Office deputy initially responded to the home at  7479 S. Carlisle St.  just before 5 p.m., where he  found the seemingly distressed individual. Attempts were made to communicate with Dockery at that time.  A short time later, an on-duty deputy arrived to assist at the scene and quickly observed that Dockery had guns in his possession, Ames said. The on-duty deputy,  Sgt.
