 A federal prisoner has been charged with murder while he was incarcerated in Terre Haute.

A federal grand jury returned an indictment Tuesday, charging Lawrence Taylor, 41, with first degree murder at the Federal Correctional Complex back in 2019.

According to the Southern District of Indiana, Taylor was an inmate at the facility when he killed the victim "by stabbing him multiple times in the neck, face, chest and elsewhere with a metal weapon.."

Taylor faces a maximum penalty of life imprisonment., if convicted. He is set to make an initial court appearance at a later date.
